Footloose was worth the remake! I saw this at the movie theater but it was totally worth it. Two other girls and I were smiling at the upbeat music, dancing, super cute guy, and overall entertaining chick flick. If you need to relax, unwind and watch something enjoyable, this movie is rentable! The only problem was most of the actors weren't convincing as high school kids... but it was worth it to overlook. Footloose was worth the remake! I saw this at the movie theater but it was totally worth it. Two other girls and I were smiling at the upbeat music, dancing, super cute guy, and overall entertaining chick flick. If you need to relax, unwind and watch something enjoyable, this movie is rentable! The only problem was most of the actors weren't convincing as high school kids... but it was worth it to overlook. The Lucky One wasn't so lucky!
As much as I love Zac Efron, the movie lacked the emotional connection needed to make it a good one. There were some steamy scenes between Taylor and Zac, but at times I felt uncomfortable. Zac was trying to take on an "older" approach and did pretty well. I actually loved Taylor, she was discretely beautiful and convincing as a single mother. I wouldn't spend money on a full-price ticket, but its worth a girls night out early-bird price or rental.Overall Rating: C+
